Animal Emergency Center in Watsontown Joins Growing Family of Hospitals at Community Veterinary Partners

Community Veterinary Partners (CVP) is pleased to welcome Animal Emergency Center as the 57th hospital to join our growing community of veterinary hospitals. Located in Watsontown, Pennsylvania, Animal Emergency Center is CVP’s 22nd hospital in the state focused on providing high-quality medical care and compassion to every patient.

An AHAA Accredited Hospital, Animal Emergency Center was founded in 1999 with the sole purpose of providing emergency veterinary care to the many pet owners in the surrounding community when their family veterinarian was unavailable. Lead Veterinarian Dr. Thomas Haas, along with Associate Veterinarians Dr. Craig Stanton and Dr. Michael Fullmer, provide overnight, weekend and holiday urgent care services when families often need it the most.

“Animal Emergency Center is one of a number of CVP hospitals offering the important service of after hours or emergency care for our patients and their families,” said Kevin Ruffe, CEO of CVP. “Dr. Haas and his team exemplify the exceptional level of care and compassion that differentiates each of our partner hospitals, making them a perfect addition to our growing community.”

Animal Emergency Center is well-known for their state-of-the-art equipment, including a CT Scanner. They also offer leading-edge services such as ultrasounds, endoscopies, blood/plasma transfusions and ophthalmology, often supplementing the services of neighboring veterinary practices.

“Our neighboring veterinarians rely on us to be there for their patients when they can’t be, and we don’t want that to change,” commented Dr. Haas. “CVP’s commitment to keep medical care decisions at the hospital level gave our team comfort that we will always be able to be there for the community with the same level of quality care and respect they have expected from us for the last 20 years.”

CVP’s growth is expected to continue with additional hospitals joining our community from our home state of Pennsylvania, as well as the 9 other states where we already have a presence. Our goal is to be able to help our hospitals provide quality care to more pets and their families.
