Community Veterinary Partners Adds Granville Small Animal Hospital to Growing Portfolio

PHILADELPHIA (March 21, 2018) – Community Veterinary Partners is pleased to announce that it has acquired Granville Small Animal Hospital.

The purchase of the Middle Granville, N.Y.-based veterinary practice brings CVP’s total practice group to 45 animal hospitals along the East Coast.

Dr. Jeffrey A. Meyer, owner of Granville Small Animal Hospital, graduated from Cook College of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned his Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine. He joined the Granville Veterinary Services team in 1984 and developed a small animal service within the existing practice. The two hospitals separated in 1996, establishing Granville Small Animal Hospital as its own practice. “The staff at Granville Small Animal Hospital is very excited about partnering with Community Veterinary Partners. We feel it will enable us to continue practicing medicine at a high level and serve our clients as we always have.” Says Dr. Meyer, “I will be able to stay on and provide the continuity of care and service that may not have been possible had the practice been sold to a private buyer. The folks at CVP have been great, very helpful and supportive throughout the transition, greatly alleviating what could have been an extremely stressful time for us. We look forward to a long and productive partnership.”

Granville Small Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility and offers a variety of services, including emergency and clinical care, dental care, boarding, nutritional counseling, and wellness exams. The practice consists of three doctors: Meyer, Holly Baker and Beth Kissack.

“We are so excited to expand our footprint in New York state with the addition of Granville Small Animal Hospital,” said Dennis McMichael, director of Integration at CVP. “Their emphasis on the human–animal bond and state-of-the-art veterinary medicine makes them a welcome addition to the CVP family.”
